User Reviews about Instapark 5 Head Solar Pump Garden Fountain Pond Water Feature
I bought this small solar-run pump with a fountain head, which I placed in a bowl large enough for a lot of water, and placed them on top of a table in the middle of a garden. Birds, butterflies, bees, and other assorted insects love the bubbling water - and today 8 - 10 sparrows took baths in it, two-at-a -time, while the others waited their turns. Mocking birds are waiting, and hummingbirds were there earlier in the day.
The pump works whenever it is sunny - has three different types of spouts. No need for an electrical outlet!
I wish they would make a wrap-around solar panel, that could follow the sun as it daily passes through the sky.
I have had another one of these just like it, which has been working for two years, and does not burn out when it runs out of water. -- Solar pump works great!
I was skeptical about another solar fountain pump, but this one is outstanding. We got it from Amazon and I was going to return it, but it has exceeded out expectations. Only recommendation: if it stops working, it may mean the water needs to be replaced and the pump cleared for a second or two in open air during this process. Then it's back to pumping away as usual.
It is small (6 v) but the panel really powers it well and can be moved to wherever the sun is shining. -- Best small solar pump
This little pump did exactly what I needed it to do! It was small enough to use in my tabletop fountain and it did pump the water up 18" and works great in full sun. It is a bit expensive for the tiny little pump, but it works just fine and was just what I needed to convert an electric fountain to solar. My electric pump was very tiny as the water tray of the fountain needed a very small pump and this pump is extremely tiny, about 2" x 1". I just removed the electric pump, attached the existing 1/4" tubing to the solar pump, placed the solar panel where it would get full sun and it started to work great. It has to pump water up thru an 18" tall flamingo and out his mouth to some smaller water trays and it works perfectly. It does quit as soon as a cloud blocks the sun, but it works constantly and very well when the sun is out.
Valerie in Chicago -- Works great for a tiny pump - it does the job
